Default Tire Quest. Need help please!

I have a 2006 Rancher ES that we bought for taking care of our property. I knew about the solid axle and nobbies might be a problem tearing the yard up. My problem is tire sizes and rims and what fits what. The rim sizes for the Rancher are

Rear: 25x11-10
Front: 24x8-12

I'm tring to fit a set of turf tires for the rear of the 4 wheeler and would like to try and keep the same height or taller on the rear. I can go 2 routes, buy a new set of rear rims and mount the turf tires thus me keeping the nobbies mounted if I go trail riding. Buy an extra set of front rims to mount the turf to run on the rear. Below is a link to several turf tires I'm looking at. I'm trying to fit the most less aggressive tread I can.

Do any of the tires listed at the 2 links below fit the factory rims?

Turf Savers: http://www.outdoordistributors.com/C...turfsaver.html

Ultra Trac: http://www.outdoordistributors.com/C...ltra_trac.html

I'm even open for purchasing a set of aftermarket rims for the rear to mount the turf tires on. My problems is the tire sizes and what fits what is confuzing to this old man. LOL

I'm asking for a lettle help here please at what fits what.

Thanks a bunch!
Randy

Ok what those numbers mean is this;

25 = tire height fom ground to top of tire
11 = the width of the tire
10 = the Diameter of the RIM

now the RIMS they are on are a 12" diameter with a 7" wide rim on the rear
and the fronts Rims are 10" diameter and 7" wide

so that being said what you need to find is a 23-25 inch tall tire with 10-12 inches wide tire
you will need two sets one that fits a 10 inch rim and one that fits a 12 inch rim

here is a link to tires that would work http://specialtytirestore.com/c16521.htm
id suggest the getting 24 inch ones C165 Turf tires -24x13.00-12, 4 ply. near the bottom of the page.

Also if i were you id want these on different rims cause changing them back and forth isnt good for the tire or the wallet

heres a link to the cheapest new rims your gonna find anywhere and nice thing is there all 12 inch rims not 10 and 12 like you have now

http://item.express.ebay.com/_ATV-Pa...mdZExpressItem

if u look on ebay u might find some used rims cheaper

If you like we can talk over the phone just shoot me a PM [

Thanks Mudlord a bunch!!!

The C165 24x13.00-12 tire will fit the front rims (24x8-12)? If I understand right I first need an extra set of front rims and then get the C165 24x13.00-12 tire mounted on those rims. Will there be any problem mounting that wide of a tire on an 8 inch wide rim? Do you think there will be any clearance issues with that setup on the rear?

Thanks again!
Randy

Ok There is a clearance issue with the 24x13.00-12 mounted on a front rim and using it on the rear with the muffler. The difference in the rim offsets puts about 2 inches of the tire right under the muffler thus leaving no room for suspension travil.
