Default NEED HELP WITH UNI AIRFILTER

I just got my uni airfilter like everyone recommends. And I have the airbox setup shown in my pictures. But, the Uni airfilter has a bigger whole where it attaches to the chrome piece (seen in pictures) So the Uni filter does not fit. I have that adjustable hose clamp thing and ive tried tightening that but it is still too big. What do you suggest I do to make this filter fit?

Not sure, but are you trying to keep that chrome piece in???? You need to remove it. The UNI should just fit into the intake boot where you pulled the chrome piece out......

The stock UNI filters come with a wire cage insert that has a wimpy collar. The collar will eventually colapse from the stress of the band around it...and it will eventually fail. You will be spending a lot of money on new filters, just to be getting new pristine inserts. This happens with all the UNI inserts, and it happens even when I am carefull not to tighten the band to tight. UNI needs to replace them with something that holds up better!

I highly recommend the ProDesign aluminum adapter and their own foam filter (also made by UNI). It solves all the problems that the wimpy stock UNI collars have! http://www.prodesignracing.com/

Thanks, one more question, do you think I would be ok if I put the red foam part over my K and N, would that solve the dust problem?

Don't put the Uni Filter over the K&N, that's just overkill and it will be restrictive, get the prodesign adapter reconranger talked about.

Im just wondering....whats wrong with what you have on there now.

From what i can see you have the precharger......doesnt that help with fine dust?

And is it a good idea to run with out any airbox.......would it be better to put the airbox back and get the top with the dust cover in it?

everyone says that the k an n's let in too much fine dust for the titanium valves to handle. I am "eventually" going to put an airbox back on there, how it is now is how i bought it
