how can i fix damaged treads on the head for the spark plug myself thanks, also i cant figure out why all of a sudden now when im ridding and i gun it the bike bogges down and will cut off if i stay on the gas.. any help would be helpful thanks

 

Well if you stripped it out I would try taking the cover off and tap the old threads if there is enough left so you can get the plug in....If it is too stripped out that you can't do so take it to a shop and have then redo the threads or buy a new cover...As for the bogging I would have to say that that is being caused by either the choke being on, low on gas, gas is shut off or you have clogged jets in your carb...If you have clogged jets then I would get carb cleaner and take the jetcs out and clean them and make sure you can see light through them...Hope this helps and any other ?'s let me know and welcome to the forums.

 

ok, thanks, what all do i need to do to re-tap it,, as far a taking stuff off, would i need to take the head off, also if not would it be ok to just do it like is and just hope debre doesn't fall in the motor
