Okay, now that I have your attention. I would like to get some input from Dune Riders on tires they use. I've loved my Stock 400x tires, but they've been on a serious weight loss program and are in dire need of being replaced. I'll keep them around for the family vacations, but when at the dunes and rallying in sharp turns and jumps, I need a good set of tires. I don't really care for paddles, just because in the racing I don't get the turning ability I need. I've looked at the Triton Fast Trekker as a hybrid tire but not sure of any performance spec's. Just looking for a little input from fellow Sand riders.
Others are welcome to comment as well.
P.S. Sorry to get your hopes up on the Bikini thing, but the forum on girls riding ATV's got so much response I figured what the heck. By the way love girls riding at any level, if you have the desire to try your welcome with us anytime.

For XC I run Holeshots, but they just dig nice big square holes in the deep sand! You say you don't like paddles because they don't give you turning ability? I would agree if your'e talking about Haulers (straight paddles), but have you tried Edges (V-shaped paddles)? I don't experience any lack of turning ability with these. If you're going to ride dunes, do it right and get a set of paddles!

YZGUY - In response to your comments, which I appreciate, I agree 100% with the Holeshots. They are a great MX or trail tire, but in the sand you couldn't tell the difference between those and race slicks. As for paddles I have run both straight and V shaped paddles and I agree the Edge paddle is a little better, but if you have a hairpin turn and have to slide into it, you loose alot of RPM's when the paddles grab. Not to mention they just don't slide as well as a multi purpose tire. I agree, for traction in the sand, paddles are the answer, I just don't like them. Not to mention, I race with people that are better riders than I am, and when they run paddles (rarely) I end up racing in a sand blaster. I know I didn't have to reply to your response, but appreciate the input.
