Will an 88 Honda 300 4X4 outrun an 04 Recon. There are some little kids riding illegaly on our farm(we don't live there, but we have no trespassing signs up), the police won't do anything, and everytime that were there in a vehicle they leave into the woods. I was going to take my Honda over about a half mile from my farm and ride there. If I do and they run will I be able to catch them. I wouldn't really care but they are tearing up the grass, riding wheelies and jumping, and if they get hurt, I'll get sued so please help.

 

it would be close. but i doubt it. my 300 cant touch my rancher, but never ridden a recon. the 300 is geared low.

 

No, a 1988 4x4 will not be able to outrun a 04 Recon.

I see in your signature you have a Warrior which should be able to keep up just fine.

 

ok, the warrior is torn apart in the garage right now because i flipped it down a hill, i'm taking it apart to fix it then sell it. i think i'm getting a grizzly next year, and if i do and still have the problem it will outrun them won't it? my honda has a brand new top end and those kids run their recons very hard if i can't keep up i can go down over the hill and find them in a tree[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]. i know what you mean mykool, my cousin has a 2006 rancher at and he'll smoke me every time. will a grizzly outrun it?

 

The Recon had a 100+ pound weight advantage, plus if it's being ridden by a light little kid. Plus, unless you have a Warn 424, you are stuck in 4wd which is a big disadvantage.....

 

yeah it outran me by about 50 ft. for about a mile.
