i have a200sx will not shift stuck in 5th geare

 

Did you have the left side cover off to repair due to a thrown chain? Its a big problem on this machine when not adjusted correctly is why I ask and alot of people who remove the cover loose the thrust washer on the shaft when putting the cover back on and causes the shift linkage to be binded up.

If this doesnt apply, there are many things it could be. You can inspect the shift shaft, detent arm, detent spring, and shift drum from the right and left case covers but the tranny itself and the shift forks can only be accessed from splitting the engine cases.
