Your rock!!
It was that day when it was very cold, no snow and frozen ground...I think the first time we rode you had your HotSeat springs, the day you got stuck in that ridiculous mudhole. It wasn't a rock, actually, more like a block of frozen dirt...I saw it coming towards me...it did scare me!!

A little over a year ago I cracked my skull in two spots (no helmet). Spent two nights in the hospital. Had to pay for what the insurance didn't cover. Missed three weeks of work. My left ear still rings constantly to this day. Wasn't going over 20mph. I have about 20 years riding experience. A brake shoe fell apart on the wheeler I was riding and it catapulted me over the handlebars after the front slammed down while riding a wheelie, landing me on my melon. Things just happen. I always wear the bucket now, but it doesn't stop the ringing in my ears. Wish I were wearing it that day.

One day I was riding my Suzuki lt160, going about 30 mph starting up a hill, I was about half way up when out of the blue a blaster jumped rite into me! if I wasnt wearing a helmet the back of my head would have slamed against a rock! Funny thing about this story is I was thinking about 2 minutes earlier I would take my helmet off and ride! I thought it would be cooler noone else had theirs on! I was young, and wanted to show off (of course)! Luck I learned that way instead of the hard way! Just buy a helmet man you have alot to loose if you dont!

Hey guys,

Just wanted to pass a little information on the importance of eye protection whether it be goggles or even safety glasses. A buddy of mine was giving his nephew a ride around the yard at a very low speed and a seed from a weed blew into his eye and implanted there. After 2 painful Dr visits, a injection into his eye and surgical removal of the seed everything was alright. On another note I can't count the number of times goggles have save me from branches flying in my face. Just wanted to pass these testomonials along... Not trying to preach...

Thanks,

Triston

Been there, done that, Trailqueen!

Those pesky "stumps," maybe only 3-4" in diameter; maybe only a foot, give or take a few inches, high; we call 'em "stobs" (don't know why).

Anyhow, riding along in the woods; an un-noticed stob appears, right in the middle of the line of travel of one of your front tires, and: SURPRISE! You've just turned your quad on its side, if not all the way over, and you're lying on the ground, in a place and position not of your own choosing.

Great speed is NOT required for this crowd-pleasing maneuver.

I agree with you entirely; at times like these, we cherish our helmets! An open-face helmet can save your life; a full-face helmet can also save your teeth and face.
