im newer to here and dont know if this question has been asked here before.
now that the raptor is here and the price tag is around $7000.00 which i think is alot of money.
my question is how much are the users here willing to spend on a new ATV before they decide im not paying that high price.

When people quit buying them then the price is too high.
In a free market, you charge whatever the public seems willing to pay.
When you are out of cash, maxed-out your credit cards, cleaned out your savings, hit your relatives up for a loan, and spent the rent check on your quad, maybe then you went too far.

I just broke the $10,000 mark, but the only thing I want now is maybe a Lonestar Axcalibur rear axle.

I figured $7000 was a decent price for a six hundred and sixty cc engine. But, Then again I purchased my 400ex for around $5800 for my wife. What is $1100 extra for a vehicle that has over 160cc more, Liquid cooled, weighs about the same, and is 10 times faster. The 400ex was/is a waste of money if you ask me. But, I'm not one for air cooled engines.

People are paying 5 figures for stock snowmobiles. I think quads will get that expensive someday too and I think people will pay it. So long as the technology is there and the consumer thinks it worth the price to play.

In my opinion the Raptor is worth the price it`s fast with a high tech engine. Now what Yamaha is charging for a Banshee, Blaster & Warrior is ridiculous expensive for the out dated 13 yr old technology.

You can say that again...
I think I paid around $1800 for a 1986 YZ250. Got it running faster than the new ones today for about $1000 extra. I paid $5200 for a 2000 YZ250.
Which isn't quite as fast as my old one. I got it tad bit faster for $600. That is $5800 vs $2800 for something that isn't as fast. We are talking brand new! I don't know what is getting into us americans.

I think the price will stop going up when quades cost as much as a used jeeps that look band new.
