Default I might have been too rough with my rancher!

Hi,

I messed up something real good on my 07 4x4 rancher. We were riding today and earlier I could hear a squeaking from the front end when I backed up. I assumed it was the brakes. Then a little later when riding it started jerking hard to the left... & harder & harder to the left and even hard enough to compress the suspension over and over on the right front end.

This change of events took place when we were only riding on a smooth straight area over about 400 yards. We stopped & loaded it on the truck. Its not drivable right now.

I don't see anything visible that is bent, so I'm assuming that maybe something inside the front gearbox is messed up. Anyone have any ideas? Is there a website that shows the breakdown of the parts inside so I can have an idea what to look for? Anyone heard of this happening?

Thanks!

Still on warranty???

I had something weird like this once, and it turned out to be a small rock wedged in the brakes.

Geebeer, it sounds like a good time for you to invest about $50 in the service manual. It has all the diagrams and information you need, and you'll have it on hand for anything that may arise henceforth.

hey geebeer not sure if that has drum brakes in the front if it does check that out its very easy to do because one of the adjusters might be comeing loose or u could possible have a warped drum on that one side. and as fare as a web site to look up for break down of ur atv go to bikebandits .com once the web page opens up go to oem parts and just go from there very simple and it will give u breack down of every part on ur atv good luck
