Snow Plow'en 420

Snow Plow'en 420
Got our first snow of the year yesterday, about 6-8 inches of what we call wet snow.
Was hesitant at first, but after I got the hang of running the plow lift and the start and reverse all cordinated. This little machine is a snow pushing fool.
Got myself in a few oops situations and the 420 got me out with no problem.
Using a Warn 54" plow with actuator, added a home-made deflector to the top of the blade, a 70lb. bag of sand on the rear rack, no chains, boy did I plow snow.
Had so much fun, I plow the street and some of the neighbors' driveways.
Only thing I didn't care for was the slow reverse. Having to back-up a city block gets a little time consuming. Other wise was moving snow over 50 yards and some times in second and third gear........what a blast. Almost as much fun as riding the snowmobiles.
All you guys think of putting a plow on the 420......it works.....if not for the tight areas I have to plow......this little ATV would easily handle a 60" plow.

Glad to hear that, we have set up tons of 420's here with snow plows and winches.
Most popular so far is the 50" blade. No snow as of yet to have our customers report on how well the snow is delt with.
For this season I set up a trx450es with a 2" lift, 2500 lb winch, 60" blade, grip and thumb warmers, plus a set of Powerking Mudcat tires. I don't like the reverse button while pushing snow. It acts like a crutch and slows snow removal down. For the winter months I tighten the reverse cable adjuster as far as I can to keep the reverse lockout button from having to be used. All I need to do is shift down and it goes into reverse without depressing the reverse button and pulling the brake lever. Speeds things up instead of messing with the reverse button
