I am in northwest Iowa and have scrambler that i would like to ditch for a rubicon. The local dealer is asking $6599 for a 2001. Is that a godd deal or is it to high? Thanks for any info.

Its strictly MSRP ($6999) around me.

 

Try Schaumberg Honda near Chicago. I get Car & Truck Classifieds....or Auto Trader, and they always have ads in there. I have seen the Rubicons advertised in the 6250 range. I am not far from you (Madison Wi.).

 

Just got mine for 6649 in Northern Ohio. Most dealers around here were quoting the MSRP of 6999 and not willing to move much. With a few phone calls, competition between dealers and my willingness to drive an hour to save a few bucks I got the price I got. Red was hard to locate and the dealers claim that demand is so high they don't need to drop much to get business.

 

$6500 was the best I could get one for. Had to go to WV to get it. Dealers up here will not drop below $6900

In this weeks cycle trader Roseburg Power Sports has the Rubicon for $6499, plus freight charge. Thats a long drive but to save $500 its worth the 4 hour drive.

 

im still saveing as i hate paying intrest... but its good to know they are falling in price around here
