Default 96 Fourtrax starter problems

I have a 96 Fourtrax 4x4 which has worked flawlessly for years.

I replaced the battery this Spring because of starting problems which I presumed was the battery. Now the machine will only start with the Kick.

Someone mentioned the starter solenoid - I replaced that but still no starter engagement when I push the start button.

Anyone have advice or seen problems before that are similar to this.

Should I remove/replace the starter in the machine?

Any advice on locating a new starter for this machine?

Thanks - Dave G.

Although I have not tested the fuses, from looking at them it would appear that they are in good shape. I will test them with an Ohm meter.

Any other ideas or thoughts?

Does the starter click or make any other sound that would let you knw that you are getting the signal to start to the starter? If not, you may have trouble with the pushbutton for the starter switch. They are prone to wearing out with age and are not a big deal to change.

No sound at all. Just push the button and that's all.

Good suggestion, I will check that out. Should be cheap and easy.
