You may be able to find a 250X for that kind of money, but it will probably need work. but they are usually going for around $1500-$2000....
I have seen some for under $1000, but they need a lot of work..

If your just starting off your better off using your grand for a down payment on a blaster or a 300ex. You should get your payments under a hundred bucks a month. Any thing you can get used under a grand wont run or will need major repair work very soon.

If you are that tall you will not fit on a blaster. You really need about 2 grand to jump into the atv market without buying a piece of junk. If you have an extra 90 or 100 bucks a month just start making payments on something.

all a grand will buy you is a rolling pile of junk.

Save up a little more. buy a used 250x, mojave, 300ex, blaster(sit on it first...i'm 6' and felt fine on it)

or you could put a down payment on a new one, and not have any trouble at all. Used ones are generally rode really hard..

i know none of my ATVs ever seen easy riding

A thousand won't buy you much. If you do find something it will probably be a beater & need lots of work. Don't jump the gun, save some more money & buy yourself a good used quad.

Go buy a nice 8HP go-kart. $1K won't get you more than that...

You could get really lucky like my brother did. He happened across a 250R at a house next to where he was working and turned out the lady was selling it due to a divorce and he got a really nice 86 Honda 250R for $1000! All he has done to it since is put new tires on it.

I'm six feet and weigh about 150(i'm only 15), and a 300ex is way to cramped for me, so i would definitly save your money and buy something that you would be more comfortable on.
