1996 TRX300 Help needed
#1
I have just been given our Motocross clubs 96 TRX300 to look after and know nothing about it.
The people that originally had it left town a year or so ago and it has been sitting in storage.
I was plesantly surprised when we wheeled it out and it fired up straight away.
The first thing I want to know is how do I get reverse gear?
It has a reverse gear light on the dash so I suppose it has it!
Are there any little tricks to maintaining these?
More questions later.
Cheers Max.

To engage reverse you need to be in neutral, push the little red button down on the rear brake handle on the left handlebar, squeeze the lever while pushing it down, press down on the gear shift and you are in reverse.
Nothing really special needs to be done as far as maintance goes. Change the oil and filter along with the air filter at regular intervals, lube any places where the suspension pivots, and have fun trying to get the rear brakes to work without screaming. Thanks a lot for the info. The red button is missing, theres a chrome pin there that goes up and down, I suppose the red button normally has reverse or something similar written on it?
Cheers Max.
