just bought a new rancher 400 at. i have put 26 miles on it. my concern is it will only run 37 mph. it also sounds like it is missing at 37mph idles just as smooth as can be. took it back to dealer they changed spark plug and said it was fine?

followed all directions. no codes to report. still runs 36-37 mph flat out?

 

Did you reinitialize the unit by removing the rear wheels and following the rest of the proceedure I had outlined ?

sure did just like you outlined. wheels off 5th gear 18-21 mph ect..

 

Pretty much sounds like the angle sensor is out of range or the shift motor has hit the end of its travel an went into what is called motor lock
