hello everyone,,i have a 2006 rubicon. Had it since feb last year and have about 960 miles and 150 hrs on it, The other day,,i took it out the shed and was idling and when i put it in gear,,the display selector it started flashing,,once,,pause than five times,,,,i shut if off and started it back and went off to ride..rode about 2 hrs and it did it again only ofter putting it in reverse,,like it had a terrible miss fire in it,,. I made it back home and check the sensor down by the left foot thats all i done so far.. Yesterday,,i went riding rode all day long ,,never messed up,,i mean in some treachous places done,,perfect..until time to go home and started flashing again,,,i ride in water often ,,but nothing to sink my 4 wheeler,,usually bout fender deep...any suggestions what it could be !!! thanks for any suggestions!!!!!!!!!

 

It sounds to me like it keeps going in and out of "Limp Home" mode. There are people on this forum who are better qualified to answer this question, though, and can provide details how to fix.

have you seen the other people on this forum talking about this?? there has abeen a lot of postings on this, someone might not talk directly to you because this has been talked about so much. but i am starting to worry because i have a 06 rubi to and eveybody is talking abou this ecu problem. the dash seems to be blinking 5 or 9 or 11 times.

I have one too. I have 500 miles on mine and so far so good. Hopefully I won't have to worry about it but I'm starting to wonder if this is a problem especially with '06 models.

Rember this, the first body style is where the problems mainly existed
The newer body style ones are far and few inbetween for issues

I will try to get to this 06 problem yet
