Wondering is there a difference in the 2006 Foreman 500 and Rubicon 500 engines or are they pretty much the same setup?

 

No! Completely different...

The Foreman is 475cc and the Rubicon is 499cc. The difference isn't just in displacement. For beginners, the Rubicon is water cooled and the Foreman is air/oil cooled......

I think the Rubicon has a higher Compression ratio also that give it more power.

 

The Rubicon also has 4 valves and the Foreman 2.

Of course the transmissions are vastly different, too.

Seat of the pants wise, power feels pretty similar between the two.

If you are looking for a repair manual for the 500 Foreman you may have to go with the Honda one. The 500 Foreman came out in 2005, and it usually takes the aftermarket manuals a while to publish...
