Default Cutting plastic

hey I was wondering if anyone has cut their stock plastics themselves. I have a 1999 Honda 400EX. I like the look of the racing style fenders, but I would like to keep my stock headlights. I also don't want to fork out the $250 for the racing fenders. Has anyone done this before? If so, how did you do it? Thanks

use a saw zaw, and a dry erase marker to mark them off... then once u get them close to what u want use a rough file to get them right then use sand paper to finish them off..

agreed or what I used on my DS when I cut the rear plastics is I marked the plastics off with thin 3M tape and once I eyed em up and liked the design I used a dremel to cut the plastics. I then sanded them down with some rough paper and then fine sand paper.
