is there any deffects to a 400ex if it is bored and has the following done to it, it has 12.5 to 1 wiseco piston,stage 2 hot cam,hotrod crank and rods,full exaust,head studs, jetted carb. i need to kno because i am thinking about buying a used one with all of this done to it.. he said it has 10 hours on the rebuild

 

First off when buying something like this ask for proof all of this is done or you might mess something up in the long run!!

For instance...Friend of mine bought a 450f with this, that, and the other, yada yada yada. It was bone stock with a pipe. He ran racing fuel with a big jet kit that lead to a blown engine!!

A 400ex is a great running bike, if you take care of them. People say that the 440 is un reliable. I think other wise. If you do it right from the get go(rod, crank, bearings, cam, rockers, gaskets, seals...) you should have no problem.
