I have a two wheel drive atv with factory tires. I don't know how to describe them but, they are typcial general purpose tires. My question is this. I like to run in the mud and know 4x4 is tremendously better but is not in my budget. Therefore, I was wondering if anyone has experience with a different style tire that will make a material difference in the mud, even with my two wheel drive vehicle.

thanks

a good aftermarket trail tire will give you a wole new world of grip iv owened 3 sport quads
if we are to help you make a choice we need to know what you ride iv put 22 inch fast trecker's on my full race 250r for trail rideing a little mud and also handle's snow better than i had hoped
bandit's are also a good all around trail tire also trailclaw's and maney other's just shop around look for a good tire to suit you thats not to heavy

Going with an aggresive mud tire over the stock tire will make a world of difference. Thats true with a 4x4 as well as a 2x4.

Yes what kind of atv do you own? A friend of mine has a recon with maxis sur-trax and they do really good in mud! You cant stop them in any amount of the thick stuff! They have also lasted a long time considering he has to ride about ten miles on the road every time he goes riding to get to the riding area.Oh and he goes riding every night so he has put some major miles on thpse tires and they still do great in the mud. Hope i could be of some assistance.
