Moose winch clutch problem
#1
I purchased my 2007 Rancher 420 last year and had the dealership order and install a winch for it. They
said the 1700# Moose was what Honda recommended because of the limited space for
the winch. I used it for lifting and lowering the snow plow but if I use it for pulling, I cannot disengage
the clutch on the Moose because the lever is restricted by either the plate or the frame so I have
to extend the cable with the motor.
Has anyone else had this problem with this model of Moose or is there an easy fix?
Thanks,
Randy

You could try unbolting the winch from the plate. install it with the motor end of the winch on the other side of the quad. You will have to unspool all the cable and respool it so your in and out direction on the switch is correct
