wiring questions?

Default wiring questions?

a friend gave me a 1990 300 trx went to start it nothing the wiring harness from the starter switch and engine stop switch [blue, white, and green wires] run to nothing also there is a gray and gray/red wire connector that is not connected to anything that comes out of the main wiring harnessrunning towards the back is there a connector missing to tie these together or am i missing a whole bunch of wires it has a kick start but hasnt started for me yet the lights light up on the dash when i try to kick start it also do i need a battery if i am kick starting it one other thing at the very bottom of the carb. there is a nipple sticking out does a hose belong on it and if so where does it run to

If you want the wiring diagram & switches sections from the 1988-91 TRX300 PDF shop manual so you can trace and re-build your harness just PM your email address ..

Could you send me the diagram for a 88 trx300 2wd. Im having simmilar problems. The previous owners watched "Gone in 60 seconds" and thought they were experts at hotwiring!! LOL! Thanks!
