shifting forks and shift probs on 350x

I am looking into buying a 350x motor for a conversion. The guy said it has a ard time shifting from 2 to 3rd. HE said it might be shifting forks??? HOw much would this cost to fix? It is bored .20 over. What size would .2 over make it

That depends on who does the work.A shop will charge you PLENTY to split the cases and repair it.If you do the work yourself it will probably cost you under $100 for parts depending on whats worn out.
