[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img] have code 5 flashing on my atv, I have replaced the angle sensor reset the ecm that did't fix my problem. did all the steps in the book leads me to a faulty ecm replaced it reset the ecm again still not working. pulled the wireing harness out of it checked all the wires everything looks good. I am very confused know.

I checked my 07' 500 manual, and it says a code 5 is the ECM driver for the motor? Could be a bad shift motor?

 

It is a 400fa gpscape. it has auto and esp

 

I tested the motor in one direction only. Should it turn in both directions? I have followed the steps in the manual I have it is for a 500 and it tells me to replace the ecm so I did and the only thing that did for me was lighten my wallet buy $400.00.

 

Code #5 is "angle sensor system - motor lock" ... When you installed the new angle sensor did you pre-load it ..

 

Yes I did. I put it on and gave it about a 1/4 turn or so I could feel the spring pressure.
