Default TRX 300 compression stroke

I am ready to install the cam on my trx 300. I am trying to determine if it is on the compression stroke or exhaust stroke. Can anyone tell me the difference ,with the cam uninstalled, or does the sparkplug fire on every revolution? thanks

Yes the pulse generator runs off the crank/flywheel so it fires every stroke .. If it ran off the camshaft it would fire every 2nd stroke ..
