500 Foreman Electric Shift
I had the same problem with mine(less then 15 hours on it). I took it to the shop under warranty and they never ran the pin point test. well after buying the manual and removing the front rack and fenders, I ran the test. After removing the green connector on one side of the ECM, i disconnected it and found water and corrosion within the connector. I figured that from pressure washing it after every ride, i forced water into the connector thus causing the Code "2" I was getting for the upshift/downshift. I cleaned it and put dielectric grease in every connector on the wheeler and have had no problems since.
If you can look under the left front fender, directly below the handle bar next to the ECM is the green connector that goes directly from the ES shifter. Pull it off it's mount and disconnect the harness. If there's ANY water in there, thats your problem...... good luck!!
