Rancher will not shift Flashing Nuetral 8 times

Hey Honda pros

04 Rancher ES will not shift, The N on the digital screen flashes 8 times when I try to shift. Does anyone know what this means? Bike starts right up just will not shift.

Code #8 is an angle sensor code ..
