Default rubicon code 5

i have a problem with a 2001 rubicon i went in deep water but not the first time and later in the day it went in limp mode and gave me the code 5 it stuck in first gear and when in rev. it stumbles, pops, with no power any help to point me in the right direction to fix prob. thank you

Default rubicon code 5

Code #5 is an angle sensor (motor lock) code , Its probably moisture I would check/clean/grease the couplers for the ECM , angle sensor and shift control motor first ... Here are the Hondamatic component locations & couplers ..

i checked the conectors everything is dry and clean, cleared codes and checked control motor and it works checked the reduction gear is free turns both ways started engine to see if it done anything but still not working but it gave the code 5 again.

ok i took a chance and bought a new angle sensor and thank god it fixed the problem, i think i will try to stay out of the deep water from now on because the sensor ran me about $100.00
