rev problem 300ex

i got a 300ex 1999 and my problem is that the rpm do not rev enough around 1500 to 2000 rpm there's a cut off at that rpm only on 1st to last gear no problem on reverse and on neutral i change the cdi box but it doesnt solve my problem please help !!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

check fuel filter
check and clean air filter
run with air lid off
check and clean carb
rejet carb if none of this works (get dial a jet for tuneability)
make sure your choke is off
make sure your idle is set right
Check your spark plug
check and clean air filter

Sorry kukerdan but it was an electrical problem that i solve i just take the wire from the neutral switch plug them together and ground it to the body so my atv was always on neutral my atv run great on neutral and on reverse so it works not like it suppose to but it works thanks for your help anyway.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

ahh ok, my friend just had a problem like that, lol
he just got his 300ex, the guy who sold it said it probably needs a carb clean and a tune up
turns out the CHOKE was all the way on
ahahah
ran like a raped ape after that
we cleaned the carb real good anyway and it runs great now
its an 01 with full alum skids, itp spoke alum rims, brand new battery and new still haairy maxis razors, renthal bars, race cut fenders and a white bros e series pipe
runs pretty good
