First Servicing for 2008 Rancher 420 4x4ES
#1
Hey All - Do I need to have my 08 Rancher serviced by my local dealership after puting on a certain mileage or hourly time frame? Someone had told me that I needed to have the valves adjusted soon after owning it? I usually change my own oli/filters etc, however, valving does not fall within my capabilities. Thanks for the help!

The first valve adjustment at 20 hours (just after it is completely broken in) is very important!!! Have the dealer do it if you aren't up to it.
Besides the things you mentioned, also adjust your clutch (see owner's manual). Also good time to switch to a synthetic oil if you wish.

I'd also check the gear oil in the axles, in addition to valve adjustment, clutch, oil and filter, and air filter...

Forgot that one...change out the gear oil in the final drives!
