I've heard some of the winch mounts cause the right tire to rub on the 2wd models. (The 2wd turns sharper than the 4x4)

Mine is a 4x4, but i have 27" XTR's on it (on 14" ITP SS112's).

Anyone on here had any clearance issues?

I've been looking at the off-brand stuff on ebay & there seems to be 2 styles of mounts, one that mounts higher & more forward behind the front plastic, & one that looks like it would be lower & more rear-ward.



(I dont wanna pay the big $$$ for a warn, call me names if you want...)

 

I put a Warn mount on the Foreman, but on the Rincon I thought I'd try a KFI plate. It looked to be at least as high quality, fit perfect, and cost about half.

I'd give KFI a call and tell them what you are looking at doing, and they can probably give you an answer...

i have gorilla winch and i have not had any problems with it. other people have had some issues tho. do a search.

I'm putting a Viper winch in my 08 420 4X4 this weekend. came with the mounting plate that looks the same as the KFI. I'll let you know what happens. I wasn't about to spring the bucks on a Warn either. always out with other ppl anyways.

 

I have a viper winch on my 07 2x4 and have no problems with tire rub. The front plastic cover going back on, now that was a different story.

 

I bought the gorilla 2500lbs winch, mounting plate, fair lead and all the other stuff brand new shipped to my house for $129 If you get the 2,000lbs winch I beileve it may work for you. Just have to send them an email to be sure........

 

Okay, I got the Viper 2500 mounted over the past weekend and got to try it too.
Pulling my friends Grizzly 600 out of the mud.
Fits perfect. no tire rub. the upper plastic has to be trimmed away on the inside just a bit. haven't done that part yet, didn't have the propper tool to do it with me at the time.
