Default compression on a foreman 500 es

i have an 05 honda trx 500 forman es and need to know what the compression is suposed to be? my wife choose to take and run through the water and sumerged it. took in to the stealers to have the vavles adjusted and they called and said the engine had sevre damage low comression and they want 1200.00 for parts and 1100.00 for labor to repair it. they did not even adjust the vavles and still charged me 90.00 so i want to do a compression test myself any help would be great thanks in advance.

Yes 64 PSI at 380 RPM .. It is low because of the decompressor ..

They couldn't give you that price without taking the engine apart and measuring everything . .. It doesn't sound like they plan on measuring anything they are just going to replace everything new..

64 psi seemed too low to run well... Thanks for the explanation.
