I recently purchased a TRX300 88 (2x4) which I knew going in had a tranny problem (1st gear slips). I have a chance to buy a lower end (cheap) for a 4x4 version and was wondering if there was much difference between the two besides the front drive shaft. Can I just swap out the shafts, or is this tranny a whole different animal?
