i just rode both. Mine is the trx 06. Rode buddys 08 yfz. Up the sand hill and down I went and I said switch me back TRX is way more comfortable and easier to ride. Thats a unbiased opion and on peer riding alone.

You said R, but I have to ask if you are talking the new YFZ450R with fuel injection, or the regular YFZ450....because the thing just came out and I sure don't know anybody who wons one, or even ridden one yet.....

But, at least you have learned to talk handling, not just speed!

Carbed yfz its bone stock besides sandtires exact same as mine as will so that comparission was equal as will. The ride was up the largest dune at florence and yes handling there is no comparision speed is very close. Possible reason why TRX rides better is its engine postion mounting scheme it just feels lighter all the way around plain and simple and there is less moving parts in the engine. Not sure on the 04-05 but the 06-08 rule hands down in 4 strokes.
