It is a little known fact that there are three different types of synthetics! Rotella is an example of Group III, Mobil 1 and Amsoil are Group IV, and Redline, Maxima, Motul, and Klotz, all have some Group V esters.

THIS is why I like reading the forums on a regular basis, look at all the information you can pick up on a simple topic like oil !!!

 

I'm a chemist, and believe me the Group V ester based oils are by far the best (but also the most expensive!)! Actually, PAO (Group IV) and ester compliment eachother in many ways, so the best oils are ester based, with some PAO thrown in for "balance".
