Default restoring a 1986 TRX 350

I'm trying to restore a 1986 TRX 350.
Any ideas for repairing bolt holes that people have forced AN hardware in?
some don't seem to have room (metal) to tap oversize.
Just wonder if any of you have done this kind of thing before.

Most of the hardware for the racks has been "changed" to an.
skid plat mounts are stripped out and long bolts with fiberlock nuts in place.
I think Honda used weldnuts at least there are several on this one.
The front fender is a mess even have a few deck screws on that. Looks like Honda used tread clips on the plastic to plastic.
big problem is on the frame, not sure if I can use helicoils or something like that.

what I mean by AN is that if there was a 6x12 or a 6x14 bolt someone just got a 1/4-20 and jammed it in. If it stripped they got a longer one and put a nut on the back side.
