need information
Sirs:
I have the opportunity to purchase a used 2004 Honda Rancher 400AT. I wish for useful information regarding installing a snow plow. Most popular brand, ease of installing. I live in the snow belt of Western New York I would use a winch for lifting, is the extra value of having down pressure worth the money spent to get them. Should I also look at purchasing tire chains. It does need new tires also. Rears- 24X10X11, front 24X8X12 any good recommendations. Wife will probably use this around the yard in the summer for landscaping with little cart. Need tires that won't tear up the lawn.
Thanks

i like the bear claws as well ,my uncle has a pair on his bombadier rally, and a pair on a atc 200s threewheeler..they grip great and arnt to expensive...however if you run them on the grass and turn sharp they will tear up the lawn a bit ,and if you turn sharp in the same spot over and over the turn will become dirt over time..kenda path finders are less aggresive than the bear claws ...and rockymtatvmc has them to fit your wheels front 24X8X12 ,rear 24X9X11and the damage is 199.96 for all four whees ..probaly not as good in the snow

Also, the Rancher AT is a nice quad known for reliability, but they are pretty light on pulling power, even compared to other 400's.
I would expect to need chains, unless you are talking about shallow or light and fluffy snow.
Warn, Moose, and Cyclecountry seem to make pretty nice plows.
