when i try to start my 2005 honda 400ex it wont start. all it does is start clicking. i tried to turn on the lights and they worked. what is wrong???

 

the battery is probaly weak try jump starting it..or try jumping the cylinoid switch ,,but clicking ussally indicates this works....a dead or dry cell in a battery will give you low voltage lights still work but it wont turn over......if jump starting works ride it and see if the battery takes a charge ...if it dosnt take a charge get a new battery

I had the same problem with my 300ex ,and replaced the battery ..wich fixed my problem( a small lawnmower battery,or motorcycle battery from wallmart is a cheap replacement)im using the( everstart ES12N9-4B-1 )it cost about 24.00 vs the 60.00 honda replacment
