what is a jet holder
correct me if im wrong, but the jet holder is a brass tube-thing that holds the main jet lower down in the bowl of the carb? if this is the correct part the i would deffinatly replace it because if your running hard, or you have a float problem then you may not get enough fuel into your carb bowl to keep the fuel level at the high height of the main.
same principal when you put a straw in a glass of water, you get a long straw so you can reach the bottom of the glass and sip up all the water. if you have a short straw, no jet holder, the you have to keep refilling that glass when its half way empty in order to keep sipping.
if im describeing the correct part i would replace it, if that isnt what a jet holder is then disreguard this!

Here are the parts of the TRX400EX carb.... The only part you could loose and still run the bike is locknut , it would run without the baffle plate but may run lean on rough terrain or side hills.. I wouldn't assemble the carb without all the parts..
