Brand New Rincon Issues
My brother just bought an O8 Rincon and the battery was dead when he went to get on it after letting it sit for a few weeks. Was able to start it by pull starting, but than it it stalled twice after slowly driving around in the yard. He put fresh gas in it and is charging the battery. Was looking for your thoughts on this, for mine will be in the same condition (I assume) when I go home this week to pick my 09 up. Bought it over thanksgiving and didn't have my trailer with me.
Would it be stalling because of the battery or bad gas. Maybe a combination of both. Will be home tomorrow to run the beast. Can't wait!!!!

if the gas has been sitting in the mechine for a while, it will gunk things up. ie, injectors in an EFI mechine. it woulld be a good idea to dump the old gas, put in fresh and add part of a can of seafoam. seafoam is the best $7.00 can of stuff you can buy(exept 4 beer )! walmart has it in stock, or hardware store. it will help de-gunk carbs and EFI systems.
it would also help to let it set and idol for a few mins before rideing. it will give the seafoam time to work

The bike is brand new and under warranty, bring it back to the dealer, you could have a bad battery. If there is not a good charge in the battery, there isnt enough power or the voltage will not be high enough to run the computer and electronic fuel injection...could also be a bad charging system on the bike.

A really dead battery ccan make a Rincon run poorly, especially at lower RPM where the ECU is probably using more power than the alternator is putting out...
If you have to let the machine sit for extended periods, a battery tender Jr would be a good investment, as well as fuel stabilizer.

Well I got home this week and this is what happened,
My brother put his battery on a battery tender until it was charged and filled the tank with fresh gas. Seems to be problem solved for now. It ran great both times he fired it up this past weekend. I think the battery was a little low due to sitting in the dealer lot for almost a year.
Mine ran great without any issues. It had only been sitting at the dealer a few weeks. The machine is real fun to ride. Getting used to the automotive type transmission. Feels kinda weird on an ATV. Its like I in my truck with all the windows down!!
Also the 2001 Foreman that I bought a month ago runs great. It only had 60 miles when I bought it. I only put about 20 on this past week. It's a real solid machine. I now know why I went to Honda exclusively.
Thanks for your input and hope you have a happy new year.
