Hi, Just wondering if anyone has service information for a 86-89 trx350d. I have noticed that it has a top end noise, sounds like tappets. does anyone know the valve clearances?. I am also after information on the clutch adjuster how far do I back the screw off have been told that about half turn is right is this correct? i understand the center diff is a clutch pack should this make any noise when you turn the bike? any info would be greatly appreaciated. does anyne have a link to a service manual online?

The 350D valves set to 0.08 mm (0.003 in) for both intake & exhaust ... We get a lot of the older Honda 4x4's in that the front differential makes a clicking when the wheels are turned and you have to add friction modifier to the front differential .. We use Ford friction modifier (because that is closest place that sells it) the bottles we get are approx. 1 1/2" thru and about 5" long and we mark them off in 1/5ths ..

Thanks for all your help. Have removed the rocker covers and the tappet clearance is huge at a guess i would say about 3mm. Honda mechanic thanx for your service info always good when you got something to work off. any chance of getting some info on all the diffs as i dont know the history of this bike i want to pull them apart and inspect them for peice of mind is there any backlash of pinion preload settings? is the center diff a clutch pack and where is that located on the engine.?
