Rancher 400es shift angle sensor

hondamechanic, I have little knowledge about the newer Hondas, what is the purpose of the shift angle sensor? why was it added, for safety reasons, or to prevent engine damage if the quad is tipped or at extreme angles? thanks for any info.

Yes on the TRX400FG/FA ...
The TRX420FE uses both an angle sensor and a bank angle sensor , the bank angle sensor will kill the engine if the angle of the bike reaches 70 degrees this is to protect the EFI system .. The TRX680 Rincon and the TRX420FG uses a bank angle sensor for the EFI system ...

Thanks for the info, I've seen so many posts on the "angle sensor" and always wondered what it was all about,sorry for all dumb questions.
