You only blow head gaskets when you are not tuned correctly. I could go to over 30lbs, but blowing tires off the car does no one any good in a drag race. The engine makes just over 1,000hp on a 150 shot. The 150 shot is only activated so I can launch on low boost. After launch it increases 9psi every 1.25 secs until I hit 26psi. Yeah I suggest not doing anything bigger than a 426 so you have 1 more bore left if something does break. You can make more power with a 426 than a 440 anyway. Spend the money, get the head ported, and do it right the first time and it'll be just as reliable as stock.
