I've got a 91 honda 4 trax that has developed an oil leak between the propellor shaft and the front differential. I'm wondering if anyone knows if I can remove the propellor shaft without pulling the front differential to replace the oil seal. If I have to pull the diferential can the oil seal be replaced without dismantling the differential.
Any help will br greatly appreciated
Thanks Mike

ive had front seal probs in my 300 fw fourtrax ..... juist un bolt the front diff and slide it foward enough to remove the drive shaft ....then use pliers or a seal removal tool to remove the seal ..and be carfull when you press the new seal in as not to damage it ... I used a block of wood and a small hammer to tapp the seal in slowly...(using the block of wood as a coushion between the new seal and hammer)
.
before you reinsert the drive shaft ..put a little honda diff lube on your finger and rub it inside the seal ,,and clean up the drive shaft real good
