hello, hopen somone (anyone) can help me, just bought a cheap 300 ex, went to ride it, it was sitten there idlen warmen up and just quit, the gear on crank striped or just broke the keyway, can anybody tell me if the case has to be split to fix this, or just the clutch cover and a couple other things, i haven't had time to purchase a manual or get it torn down yet, and it's driven me absolutely nuts lol, someone please help, please email me @ kylewilson_21@yahoo.com to let me know, thanx for all your time everyone whoo reads

 

I'd say if the woodruff is sheared you are going to have to split them.
