help, my R won't start

My 250X won't start lots of the time, check the cdi box. Take the box out and spray some WD-40 in it then plug it back,that usually works for me. Good luck

stock compresion should be 150 to 160 psi,have you checked your flywheel key?It may have slipped on the crank.

my compression is 140. what do you mean slipped in the crank. do you me lose?

Take the nut off the end of the crank at the flywheel and check out the key that keeps the the flywheel in time.It may have sheared,causing the flywheel to slip on the crank and be out of time.Do both of your top ends read 140 psi?If so you may have a bad gauge.Let us know what you find.

140 is low but I think it should at least crank on that much.Man I dont know!!!

yeah i'm at a lost too. someone from the 250r forum told me to check the poilet and main jet in case their cloged so i'm gonna try that. hope that works. shouldn't be clogged b/c of the fuel filter but i guess their always a chance.

Take a coke bottle cap,fill it with gas and pour it down the the spark plug hole,put the plug back in and kick it,it should run for two or three seconds.if it does then you know its carburation.
