rincon & a ground hog disk
#1
I bought ground hog disk for a food plot. Can not mount the thing on the 2" receiver, I bought for my 06 Rincon 680. It's to weak, only two 9/16 bolts. The disk uses the weight of the atv to cut the soil. Anyone know a way to re enforce the hitch. Or have such a problem???? The ground hog people say their adaptor require their 26" long steel support to be mounted forward of the rear end to a crossframe brace. The rincon does not have the brace.

ATV Guru probably makes the stoutest receiver hitches for Rincon's I've ever seen. Their hitch attaches with the two lower bolts like most of them, but also attaches to the pivots of the upper A arms. Check out their 1 1/4 and 2" over and under.
I'm not sure how a Rincon would do with a disk. Their transmissions are tough, but high geared, and I suspect you might not be able to run with the disk fast enough for the torque converter to stay locked. I've used mine to drag some big stumps and stuff occasionally, but its really intended to excel as a trail machine, and is particularly good at flying over rough stuff.
They seem to do OK for occasional reasonable towing or plowing, but I've never known anyone to pull a farm implement type thing regularly. I guess you could try it, and if the torque converter is slipping too much oil temp will likely trip the warning light.
The Rincon might do great, but I think you would be breaking new ground, so to speak, by using one to disk.
If you end up getting another machine for disking, the Rubicon would probably be the machine I'd recommend. It's hydrostat transmission is similar to systems used in some tractors, and is great for lower speed high torque kinds of tasks, and it has low range.
Anyway, welcome to the forum. It might be worth trying the ATV Guru hitch. They are willing to customize things, so if the hitch is expected to put the quad's weight on the disk, I'd tell them what you are doing. They might build you one with some extra gussets or something.
Welcome again, and let us know how it turns out.
