How far can you guys go on your rancher before reserve I realize it depends on what kind of riding you do bit I can go about 75 miles before reserve.

 

I'm not sure exactly how far to reserve, but on one ride my Rancher went 32 miles on exactly one gallon of gas. We were in West Virginia on the Hatfield McCoy trail system. This is pure straight up and straight down riding. When we got a chance to ride into town to get some gas, I was sure I needed more than a gallon. I was surprised at the mileage it got. My friends were on two different Rubicons, and if I'm not mistaken, they both took 1.6 gallons of gas for the same ride. I guess the Rubi is a little more thirsty.

On a different note...My wife and I are coming up to Nova Scotia for a getaway weekend. Are there any places that rent ATV's? Or what about snowmobiles? We would like to see some of the countryside on something besides car. I haven't been able to find anything on the Web yet...just a couple of people who tried to open up an ATV rental but couldn't due to insurance reasons. Any info you might have would be appreciated. Thank you.....

 

My longest ride so far was 45 miles and I used 1.2 gallons of gas.

 

On one of my first extended trail rides in the Birch River West Virginia area I put a little over 80 miles on my 2000 rancher before having to put the bike on reserve.

 

The most miles so far has been 60 miles in one day. Never had to use reserve yet. I am only getting around 25 mpg or so.
