I think you all should quik arguing. Its all about what you like. The 400ex is better for tight tight woods and tight motocross, and the raptor is good for other things. The 400ex is alo alot light than a Raptor and tons lighter than that so called, badd a$$ 55 hp polaris. Wow 55 hp and a 500lb quad with terrible suspension. And the Polarisis aren't real reliable. I love Yamaha dirt bikes so I am a Honda and Yamaha fan. They both make great quads, and when the new Honda will come out, it will porolly come out on top again.!

You forgot to mention that the Polaris is for carrying the luggage and supplies for the real quadders, or to poach a deer at night and put it on the rack and hurry back home, or for the tractor fans to feel like they are a part of the atving family. I still can't believe that someone with a Polaris would ever challenge a 400exr to anything except racing in reverse and then to go on and say that they modded their boat anchor and it is all bad now and they still have less than msrp of a sport bike. It would take alot more than works struts to honestly compare.

Look, I'll say this right now. I have absolutley nothing against the 400ex, in fact I am looking for one to buy right now, and to tell you the truth I don't like Yamaha's. But lets do the math. 400 to 660. Think about it. If it can do what a DS can do, like everyone says it can, then it has *****. Sorry if anyone has already said this.

Hak, I take it by your post that you have more money than grey matter. $10,000.00 into a 400ex? And you're PROUD OF IT?
P.T Barnum was right...

I've got plenty of grey matter. by the way, did you get the joke about your polaris being a boat anchor as in referring to your screen name? As usual 3 steps ahead of the pack. By the way, what is wrong with putting some money into a 4 wheeler? You obviously spent some cash modifying yours. To each his own and I hope that you do enjoy your quad, but I really do not see how you can compare it to a Raptor or 400ex, its like saying that your Dodge truck compares to a Mustang. It might run close in a drag race, but that is where it all ends. Is your truck better in some situations? Absolutely. Should it be compared, it can be, but it is apples and oranges.
