Trailbuzzer,
Yes it's an aftermarket rack that extends back beyond the factory rack by about 8". I can still access the rear storage compartment. The paint stays on pretty well (easy to touch up as needed).

Maybe I should modify my air intake.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]..then I can use the old air box for storage too!

Personally, I really like the zipperless soft bags from Tamarack or Mad Dog. Lots of pockets for things, and when the day comes that you roll it on top of yourself, they are soft [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] .

We often used milk crates for farm work- grease gun, gas can, sprinkler heads, oil, and other stuff to service wheel line movers...

I do need to get a couple milk crates to carry the smaller, but necessary items [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]
